    A pivotal point in his career was his move to Rayong, Thailand, to take up the role of Safety Professional at General Motors Corporation. In this role, he demonstrated his unwavering commitment to maintaining safe construction practices, reflecting his adaptability and dedication.

     

    His career led him to the Marshall Islands, where Robert Hume engaged in dual projects under the US Corps of Engineers. His responsibilities broadened to include environmental liaison and safety oversight following EM-385 standards. His commitment to sustainable and safe project development was evident throughout his tenure.

     

    Upon returning to the United States, he assumed a crucial role in spearheading safety initiatives in the heavy civil engineering sector. His stints at Kiewit Construction and Ames Construction, particularly in areas like active railroad construction, open pit/tunneling, and mining, were enriched by his diverse safety certifications, contributing significantly to these industries.
